Cerro Santa Ana
Is located on the east of Punto Fijo near the middle of the peninsula. There are two different access point, the town of Moruy and the town of Santa Ana. The climb is possible from both paths, only less demanding from Moruy. With its 830 meters of height the time needed is approximately 3 hours and from the top the view stretches from the island of Aruba to the Sierra of Coro.
The excursion is better to be planned ahead and is advisable to ask one of the local guides for the best way to climb. The path will cross three different areas of vegetation. Dry and low to the bottom, green with high trees on the middle, very humid the top with tropical palms and some small waterfalls.
